LUGOFF - Funeral service for Robert D. “Bob” Gaines, 66, will be held at Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. The Rev. Dr. Mark Bredholt will officiate. Burial will be held Saturday at 3:00 p.m. in Graceland East Memorial Park, Greenville. The family will receive friends Friday 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Mr. Gaines died Sunday, December 21, 2008. Born in East Alton, Ill., he was the son of Doris Burk Gaines and the late Hiram Gaines. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. Surviving are his wife, Shirley K. Gaines; mother of Missouri; sons, Robert Schuchart and Steven Schuchart; daughters, Patty Gaines, Kim Hunt, Sherry Jones, and Michelle Lee; brothers, Jerome Gaines and Stanley Gaines; sister, Mary Edith Endraske; 18 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by brother, Albert Gaines.
