CASSATT – Funeral service for Brent Ashley Nichols, 37, will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Todd Warnock will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made by check to Brent’s Children Memorial Fund c/o First Palmetto 407 DeKalb Street, Camden, S.C. 29020. Brent died Saturday, October 6, 2012. Born in Camden, he was the son of Thomas Anthony Nichols and Deborah Boone Taylor. He attended North Central High School and was an avid fisherman. Brent’s life revolved around his children who he adored. Surviving are his children, Brent Austin Lloyd Nichols, Brice Andrew Lloyd Nichols, and Blakelyn Alizabeth Nichols; father, Tommy Nichols (Pam) of Lugoff; mother, Deborah Taylor of Cassatt; sister, Heather Nicole Nichols; step-brother, Steven Paul Branham; grandparents, Bill and Carolyn Sims; and nieces, Haley and Kristina Wise. He was predeceased by paternal grandparents, Thomas and Helen Nichols; and the mothers of his children, Dana Lloyd and Erin Baker.
