ELGIN - Guenther H. Keller, Sr., 75, passed away August 20, 2018 at his home after a brief illness. A private family memorial will be held at a later date. Born in Bad Kornig, Germany on February 21, 1943, he came to the United States in 1961 with his parents, Clifford & Elizabeth Hursh. Mr. Keller became a U.S. citizen in March of 1970. His survived by his loving wife, Linda L. Keller of the home; son, Herman G. Keller, Jr.; daughter, Heidi Barton (Doug); brother, Richard Hursh (Richie) of England; grandchildren, Candice George (Michael), Heather Caulder (James), Brianna Mooneyham (Anthony), Brett Barton and Jakob Barton (Ashley); 9 great-grandchildren; and multiple nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Heidi; brother-in-law, Conrad Haskins; and special daughter-in-law, Terri Keller. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV.org) or to Huntington's Disease Society of America (HDSA.org).
