CASSATT – Funeral service for Mary Elizabeth Stevens Threatt, 91, will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Beaverdam Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Memorials may be made to Beaverdam Baptist Church. Mrs. Threatt, wife of the late Cleatus Threatt, passed away at KershawHealth on Saturday, August 18, 2018, surrounded by loved ones. Born in Kershaw County, she was the daughter of the late Lonnie Robert and Nettie Moseley Stevens. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, canning and spending time with her family and friends. She was a faithful member of Beaverdam Baptist Church. Surviving are her sons, Donald Threatt and Larry Threatt (Sharon); daughter, Dr. Linda Threatt Ward (David); brother, J.W. Stevens; sister, Magnolia “Maggie” Corbett; 8 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister, Doris McQuage.
