At times like this, I know someone smarter and more eloquent than me can probably express what I am feeling better than I can. I don't know where this came from, but it pretty much says what I want to say.
"True friends are the ones who never leave your heart, even if they leave your life for a while. Even after years apart, you pick up with them right where you left off, and even if they die they're never dead in your heart."
I had not spoken to barry in person since the days after his father died. It doesn't matter, because the times that barry and I had together are forever present in my mind. Those memories are seared into my heart and I will never forget you barry. I hope to see you again one day.
