CAMDEN- Rosalie Jordan Marturano, 95, passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2018. Born in the Camden area on March 11th, 1923 Rosalie is a lifelong resident of Camden. Those who knew her remember her southern charm and hospitality to all. Her gift in life seemed to be making sure everyone had plenty to eat and served others with a positive outlook on life in a very warm and welcoming manner. She is predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Vic, whom she married in 1943. She is survived by their three sons, Glenn (Ginger), Doug (Cindy) and Gregg (Jo) all in the Camden-Columbia area; and one brother, Dr. Don Jordan of Columbia She was also predeceased by two sisters, Mary Ella Gotto (Chuck) and Vera Andrews; and two brothers, Clyde (Lois) and JC (Valerie). She was Mama to fourteen grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church in Camden and enjoyed singing in the Silvertones Choir. Rosalie was blessed with a “green thumb” and also enjoyed gardening and her pets. Visitation for friends and family will be held at the First Baptist Church in Camden at 3pm on Friday July 27th in the fellowship hall, followed by a Memorial service at 4pm. A graveside service will also be observed at Forest Lawn Memorial Park immediately after the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
