Mayor Grooms devoted many years of his life to serve the people of this great town. His unselflish dedication to the town of Elgin is a testament to the man he was. As you look around town you can see many things that are now and will always be part of his legacy. God bless and rest his soul

Dear Alice and Family-
Please accept my deepest sympathies on the loss of your father. I did not know Mr. Grooms, but if he was as warm-hearted and intelligent as you are, then his passing is truly a loss to the world. From reading his biography, I can easily see that he was a true civil servant, dedicated to protecting and serving his country and community. Please know that I am thinking of you and your family.
Sincerly,
Randi

Please know that all of you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers during this very sad and difficult time of your loss. Paul was a very special and good man to many people. He always had a smile and kind word for anyone that he came in contact with. It was always refreshing to see his smile and to get a shake of a hand at church. May God give you all strength and guidance in the days ahead. Be strong and hold onto all the wonderful memories that you shared with him.
Sincerely, Bruce, JoAnn, & Brittney White
