BETHUNE – Funeral services for Irene F. Goolsby, 85, will be held Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Bethune Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Marvin Jones will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Thiel-Meyer Pet Adoption Center. Mrs. Goolsby, wife of the late Ernest D. Goolsby, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2018. Born in Stanton, KY., she was a daughter of the late David F. and Nannie Lou Ballard Crowe. Mrs. Goolsby enjoyed sewing and watching TV. Surviving are her siblings, Danny Crowe (Darlene), Gladys Stroud, Bonnie Pargen (Bobby), Pearl Morton (Jerry); grandchildren, Trina Drew (Eddie), Ashley Kelly (Darrel), Jason Scott (Kaitlin), David Fritts, Joshua Stokes, Tammy Williams (Corey), Sherry Barlow (Rick), Angie Small (Scoot), Shane Barlow (Paula), Charles Vincent (Amanda); 22 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; and her beloved “Missy”. She was predeceased by her children, Dennis Fritts, Karen Barlow, Martrisha Moore, Brenda Crowley; siblings, David Crowe, Jr., Tom Crowe, Samuel Crowe, Myrtle Ball; and a granddaughter, Kayleigh Harrison.
