LUGOFF – Funeral services for Donald Eugene Auker, Sr., 89, will be held Thursday at 12:00 p.m. at Springvale Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Todd Horton will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Springvale Baptist Church. Mr. Auker, husband of the late Marian Auker, passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2018. Born in Thompsontown, PA on February 27, 1929, he was the son of the late George David Auker and Hazel Schellenberger Auker. Mr. Auker retired as a SFC after 20 years of service in the U.S. Army including the Korean War. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his lawnmower. Surviving are his children, Joe Auker (Jackie), Becky Peterson (Tim), Jeff Auker (Carlene), Sherry Roberts (Ricky), Kim Hudson, Tammy Humphries (Rickey), Cecil Owens and Georgia Lanning (Ronald); 16 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; 5 great great-grandchildren; and sisters, Sarah Graybill and Donna Ritzman both of PA. He was predeceased by his sister, Marian Mangle; brothers, Raymond, William, Richard, and Edward Auker; and a son-in-law, Johnny Owens.
