KERSHAW – Funeral services for Elvin Eugene Brown, Sr., 62, will be held at 4pm on Thursday at House of Prayer with Open Arms Church, with burial to follow in Boonetown Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5-7pm at Powers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to House of Prayer with Open Arms. Mr. Brown passed away on Monday, March 19, 2018. Born in Bethune, S.C., he was the son of the late Elvin Brown and Lorene Brannon Brown. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his great-granddaughter, and love to fish. Surviving is his wife, Betsy Key Brown; children, Elvin (Wanda) Brown, Jr. and Joseph (Danielle) Brown; grandchildren, Allie (Jared) Railey, Shiann Brown, Brady Brown, and Shay Brown; great-granddaughter, Peyton Railey; sister, Jackie Riccardi; special sister-in-law, Juanita (Mike) Holley; and his dog, Meadow Jean Brown. He was predeceased by his sisters, Martha Jones and Kitty Freeman.
