Lake Wateree, SC - John Brady III, age 74, of Lake Wateree, SC, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2018. John was born on March 23, 1943 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to Dorothy Laycock Brady and John G. Brady II. After graduating from Tuscaloosa County High School, John married his high school sweetheart, Sandra Joyce Kirkley, and joined the United States Air Force where he served his country for twenty-six years as an air traffic controller. Following his retirement from the Air Force, John managed the Poinsett Gunnery Range outside of Shaw AFB, SC, and, not being very good at actually retiring, he then continued serving as a Deputy Game Warden with the State of South Carolina Department of Wildlife & Marine Resources. John is survived by his wife of over fifty years, Joyce; his daughter, Anndria Gaerity (Brian) and his son, John G. Brady IV (Barbara); two grandsons, Matthew and Adam Gaerity; and his two sisters, Mikiel Shaffer (Bob) and Judi Earnest (Grover).
