ELGIN – A service to celebrate the life of Dale Leroy Hoover, Jr., 61, will be held on Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mr. Hoover passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Palmetto Health Richland. Born in Harrisburg, Pa., he was the son of Jeanette Marie Baumgartner Wolfe and the late Dale Leroy Hoover Sr. He served in the United States Air Force and was a computer programmer. He enjoyed woodworking. Surviving are his daughters, Jennifer Hoover and Cassandra Hoover; son Jason Hoover; mother, Jeanette Wolfe of Harrisburg, Pa.; brothers, Richard Hoover, Raymond hoover and Bill Hoover; sisters, Kathleen Shearer, Sherry Hoover Smith and Charlotte Hoover Hyatt; and grandchildren, Samantha, Daniel and Sadie Zammarrelli.
