CAMDEN – Services for James A. Peters, 68, will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Camden Freewill Baptist Church, 1205 Gardner St, Camden, S.C. 29020. Mr. Peters passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2018. Born in Camden, S.C., he was the son of the late James Robert Peters and Ruby Elizabeth Moseley Peters Brown. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army who served during the Vietnam War. James was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved God and his family. He confessed his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to anyone who would listen. Surviving is his wife of 52 years, Brenda Catoe Peters; children, James Allen Peters and Tara Peters Bostick; grandson, Christian “C.J” Ellis; great-grandson, Kaiden G. Ellis; sister, Judy (Norman) Hall. He was predeceased by his grandson, Hunter Hornsby; stepfather, Frank Brown; siblings, Ann Carroway and Tommy Peters. The family wishes to thank Dr. Pineda, Dr. Holmstrom, Dr. Zimmerman and Dr. Patel for all their care given to Mr. Peters and his family.
