LUGOFF – Services for Charles Wilhelm Gomez, Jr., 72, will be private. Mr. Gomez passed away on February 27, 2018. He was a veteran of the United States Army, an avid swimmer and scuba diver, a dog lover, a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and brother and was proud of his U.S. Virgin Islands heritage. Charles was also a member of the ABC Motorcycle Ministries and was born to the late Charles W. Gomez, Sr. and Muriel Elisha Gomez. Charles was preceded in death by siblings, Jamie Gomez and Dean Gomez; and nephew, Malcom Callender, II. Charles leaves to honor his memory, his daughter, Kim Gomez Nelson Freeman; grandchildren, Andre Nelson, Sr., Chase Nelson, and Asa Freeman; great-grandchild, Andre Nelson, Jr.; his favorite niece, Muriel Elisha Jones; siblings, Alvarez Smith, Deborah Gomez, Denise Gomez Snyder, Desiree Gomez, Felisha Gomez, Fran Gomez, Henry Smith, Lydia Smith, Marcia Georges, McCormick Smith, Rita Brady Bermudez, Stephen Gomez, and Vincent Gomez; numerous nieces and nephews, The Robinson Family, various church families and other family and friends, including Claire Gomez and Tessa Richards.
