CAMDEN - Funeral service for Gwendolyn L. Hookom, 51, will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Burial will follow in Sumter Cemetery, Sumter. The family will receive friends Thursday 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Ms. Hookom died Monday, February 12, 2007. Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Edna Roberta Scott Fitzgerald. Surviving are her sons, Anthony Wayne Serkis and Ryan Walter Serkis, both of Pittsburg; sisters, Carolyn Walker of Camden, and Jane Marie Harris of Corbin, Ky.; aunt, Hazel Ray of Cassatt; and special friend, John Champion. She was predeceased by a grandmother, Lila Ann Wallace.
