BETHUNE – Funeral service for James Larry “Red” Banks, 62, will be held on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, with burial to follow in Mt. Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery, Cassatt. The family will receive friends on Thursday 2:00-3:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Mr. Banks passed away on Monday, February 19, 2018. Born in Camden, he was the son of the Jeanette Mahaffey Banks and the late James M. Banks. He enjoyed mechanic work and fishing. Surviving are his son, James L. Banks, Jr. (Stacey Griggs) of Bethune; mother, Jeanette Banks of Bethune; siblings, Bivian Napper (Allen), Roger Banks (Brinda), Marilyn Griffin (Ray), Russell Banks (Tammy), Tammie Moore (Keith), Wendy Willis (Jamie), and Robin Roberts (Kevin); grandchildren, Lacey Banks, Savanna Joyner, Subrina Joyner, Samual Joyner, Serenity Banks and Skylin Banks; and former wife, Willie Mae Banks.
