LUGOFF – Funeral service for Virginia David Scott, 83, will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Quaker Cemetery. The Rev. Eric Boone will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Thiel-Meyer Pet Adoption Center. Mrs. Scott, wife of the late John H. Scott, passed away at home surrounded by family on Sunday, February 18, 2018. Born in Lee County, she was the daughter of Lurine Watson Guinn. She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, crafts and spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving are her daughters, Valerie Scott Kennington (James D. Jr.) of Lugoff and Kathy Scott Murff (Gary) of Camden; grandchildren, Shannon Kennington, Scott Murff (Mary Anne), Ashley Murff; and great-grandson, Gavin Ryne Murff.
