ELGIN – Graveside service for Harry Burdell Rhoades, 74, will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Tri-County. Mr. Rhoades died Wednesday, October 3, 2012. Born in Twin Falls, Idaho, he was the son of the late Willis Milton and Frances Viola Pulse Rhoades. He retired from the United States Air Force having served in Vietnam. He was a member of VFW and AMVETS. Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Margaret Mary Parker Bibey Rhoades; son, David Rhoades of Myrtle Beach; daughter, Linda Bevil (Joey) of Myrtle Beach; step-children, Don Bibey of Florida, Dan Bibey of North Carolina, Theresa B. Jones of Columbia, Dennis Bibey of Arkansas, and Susan B. Little of Florida; 11 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by brother, Joe Rhoades; and sisters, Grace Cameron and Opal Yakavich.
