CAMDEN – Funeral service for Minnie Lee Thompson, 90, will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Providence Baptist Church, Kershaw with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Mrs. Thompson, wife of the late George Franklin Thompson, passed away on Saturday morning, January 27, 2018. Born in Kershaw County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Darling Baker Sr. and Theola Myers Stevens. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church and enjoyed crocheting and embroidery. Surviving are her children, Helen T. Roberts of Kershaw, Catherine Williams (David) of Lancaster, Mary Fosters (Mike) of Lancaster, and Ellen Anderson (Mike) of Cassatt; 15 grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Margie Key of Kershaw; brothers, Joseph D. Baker Jr., William H. Baker and Frank Baker; and sister, Louise Thompson.
