CAMDEN – Mary Elizabeth Corbett Singleton, 89, passed away Saturday, January 20, 2018. Born in Camden, S.C. on October 3, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Sudie Corbett. She was predeceased by her parents, brother, Harry Corbett; husband, Hal Singleton; son, Glenn Singleton (Pat) and a grandson, Cliff Holley. Surviving are her daughters, Cynthia Singleton and Susan Gainey (Jeffery); sons, Neil Singleton and David Singleton; sister-in-law, Joyce Corbett; brother-in-laws, Rex Singleton (Betty) and Dee Singleton (Judy); 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Singleton was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She was a beautiful, kind and loving lady who always put family first. She was loved by all who were blessed to have known her. Services will be Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home.
