CAMDEN – A service to celebrate the life of Bryce Dale Joyner, 75, will be held on Friday at 5:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. The Rev. Craig Thompson will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Malvern Hill Baptist Church Building Fund. Mr. Joyner passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2018. Born in Camden, he was the son of the late Bryce Bryant and Ida Lee Threatt Joyner. He was a retired mechanic and enjoyed woodworking, hunting and fishing. He attended Malvern Hill Baptist Church and was a Mason. Dale was always striving to make others laugh and treasured his time spent with family, especially his grandchildren. Surviving are his wife, Janice Geddings Joyner; children, Lori Brazell (Barry) of Camden, Chris Joyner (Janice) of Pensacola, FL, Robert Joyner (Kari) of Camden, Jennifer Lewis Baxley of Camden, and John Lewis (Courtney) of Jacksonville, FL; sister, Diane DeLoach of Camden; brother, Philip Joyner (Joyce) of Camden; grandchildren, Christopher Joyner Jr., Kayla Greer, Adam Romero, Nicholas Joyner, Zak Romero, Russell Baxley, Blake Lewis, Taylor Taylor, Macy Lantz, Katelynn Joyner, Charlie Joyner, Lillian Lewis and Julia Lewis; and great-grandchildren, Brenden, Hayden, Colton, Paisley, and expecting two more this year.
