BOBBY LOVETT BETHUNE – Funeral service with military honors for Bobby Gene Lovett, 73, will be held Monday, March 25, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff with burial to follow at Fort Jackson National Cemetery. Dr. Guy Oliver and Rev. Jeff Grubbs will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday, March 24 from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association South Carolina Chapter 4124 Clemson Blvd – Ste L, Anderson, SC 29621 or Agape Hospice, 700 W DeKalb St, Camden, SC 29020. Mr. Lovett died Thursday, March 21, 2013. Born in Winnsboro, S.C., he was the son of the late Paul and Katherine Corley Lovett. He formerly worked for Skyline Manufacturing where he was an accountant and retired from the South Carolina Employment Security Commission. Prior to his illness he was an avid golfer. Surviving are his wife, Pamela Lovett; children, Paige Lovett of Columbia, Jeff Lovett (Patricia) of Cassatt and Tori Smith (Vincent) of Bethune; brothers, Elton Lovett, Larry Lovett and Barry Lovett; 5 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother, James Lovett.
