ELGIN – Graveside service for Charles Edward Campbell, 80, will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery. The Rev. Dr. Philip Blankenship will officiate. Memorials may be made to Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church Children’s Ministry. Mr. Campbell passed away at home surrounded by his family on Sunday, December 3, 2017. Born in Kershaw County, he was the son of the late Thomas Edward and Iola Carey Goff Campbell. Surviving are his wife of 45, years, Maxine Watts Campbell; sons, Charles Edward Campbell Jr. (April) of Mt. Holme, Idaho, James Campbell of Columbia, and Mark Campbell of Elgin; brothers, Thomas Claytor Campbell (Hazel) of Aiken and Randy Bowers (Mandy) of Lugoff; sister, Vivian Gardner (Harvey) of Elgin; sisters-in-law, Frances Campbell of Lexington and Patsy Campbell of Columbia; and grandchildren, Adriana Campbell and Natalee Campbell. He was predeceased by brothers, Claude Campbell and Colbert Campbell.
