I wanted to reach out to you during this sad time to offer my condolences. While nothing will completely take away your grief, by meditating on God’s promises found in the Bible, you can find real hope and the strength to keep going. I have found the scripture at Isaiah 25:8 to be especially comforting. Here it promises that God "will swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces."

I am sorry to hear of your loss. One of the most difficult things we have to deal with is the death of a loved one. The Bible promise; "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more. Neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things has passed away." (Revelation 21:4) The Bible gives us hope that one day our dead loved ones will be brought back to life.

We will miss you Uncle Donnie. You were very special to us. We went to Disney World with you for the first time. We fished with you. We went to the beach with you and saw the pirates in Myrtle Beach with you. You cooked us amazing meals at your home and packed us sandwiches for the road back home when we came to visit you in South Carolina. You made us laugh and your love for us was heartfelt. We will cherish all our memories with you until we see each other again.
Your family in Houston, Texas

Vivian, I'm so sorry to hear about Donnie, but I have to believe that he is in a place we are striving still to attain. Don't know if I'll see you Tuesday, but my heart and prayers are with you, Lee, the boys, and Steve. Our Heavenly Father has Donnie now, you released him a long time ago and Jesus now has received him home. Love you
