LUGOFF – Funeral service for Bobbie Jean Rider, 88, will be held on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. The Rev. Joe Stines will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. in Beaverdam Baptist Church Cemetery, Cassatt. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church. Miss Rider passed away at KershawHealth on Friday, November 10, 2017. Born in Kershaw County, she was the daughter of Paul William Rider and Clara Estel Whitworth Rider and was raised by her uncle and aunt, Arthur and Julia Clark. She retired from Skyline Manufacture and was a member of Lugoff First Baptist Church. She had a servant’s heart and always put others before herself. Miss Rider loved animals especially her cats and dogs. Surviving are her family, David and Kathy Stines of Camden, Rev. Joe and Gwen Stines of Lugoff, and Margaret and Bruce Rodgers of Cassatt; niece, Loretta Branham; and cousin, Mary Rider Sion (Jeff). She was predeceased by a sister, Julie Frances.
