MARRIETTA, GA – A service to celebrate the life of Dennis Allen Thompson, 43, will be held on Friday at 4:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, S.C. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mr. Thompson passed away at his home on Monday, November 6, 2017. Born in Camden, he was the son of Dennis C. Thompson and Barbara Parker Thompson. A 1992 graduate of North Central High School, he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Clemson University in 1997. Dennis was employed with TAPPI for the past 6 years where he was a controller. He was a member of the Clemson Alumni Association, an avid Clemson fan and enjoyed cooking. He also enjoyed tutoring kids. Surviving are his mother, Barbara Parker Thompson of Bethune; father, Dennis C. Thompson of Kershaw; sister, Gladys Thompson of Kershaw; and several, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his grandparents.
