LUGOFF – Funeral services for Minnie Elizabeth Peake, 81, will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Pine Grove Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Eric Boone will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6-8 pm. at Powers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gideon’s International or Pine Grove Baptist Church Puppet Ministry. Mrs. Peake, wife of the late Olin Dewitt Peake, Sr., passed away Friday, November 3, 2017. Born in Kershaw County, she was a daughter of the late Rasper Jordan and Lillie Marthers Gardner. Mrs. Peake was a member of Pine Grove Baptist church. She worked at Alan’s Market and the Lugoff First Baptist Day Care. She enjoyed reading and gardening. Surviving are her daughters, Teresa Watkins (Billy), Darlene Hudson (Jackie), Jenny Stockman (Robbie); siblings, Jerry Gardner (Edwina), Harvey Gardner, Velter Gardner, Johnny Gardner (Brenda), Danny Gardner (Sharon), Laverne Smoak, Yvonne Peake (Frank), Shirley Griffith, Barbara Littlejohn, Nancy Walker (Doug); daughter-in-law, Ronda Peake; 9 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Dewitt Peake; daughter, Amy Twitty; and a sister, Carolyn McDole.
