BROOKLYN, N.Y. – A celebration of life service for Inez Dixon, 72, will be held Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. Ms. Dixon passed away August 21, 2017. Born in S.C., she was a daughter of the late Eskie and Maybell Ruff Dixon. Ms. Dixon was a member of Knights Baptist Church in Brooklyn. Surviving are her son, Kevin Dixon of Elgin; grandchild, Laquasha Dixon; great-grandchild, Alirah H. Wells; siblings, Alphonso Dixon, Eskie Dixon, Jr., Roosevelt Dixon, Harry Dixon, and Francis Odums; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. She was predeceased by her siblings, James “Runt” Dixon, Johnny Dixon, Raymond Dixon, Ethel Mae Dixon and MacArthur Dixon.
