CAMDEN – Funeral services for Louise Johnson Canty, 83, will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at St. Stephens Missionary Baptist Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Willie Dyers will preside. Mrs. Canty, wife of the late Thomas Canty, passed away Monday, September 25, 2017. Born in Boykin, S.C., she was a daughter of the late James and Josephine Johnson Davis. Mrs. Canty was a member of St. Stephens Missionary Baptist church. She enjoyed sewing and cooking. Surviving are her children, Evangelist Dorothy Stuckey (Fred) of Camden, Jeanette Clark of Camden, Rev. George Johnson (Polly) of Dalzell, Joanne Bennett of Camden, Evangelist Lula Johnson of Camden, Arthur R. Johnson (Julia) of VA; 18 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives. She was predeceased by a daughter, Betty Alston; and siblings, Lula Johnson, Rosalee Thompson, Sallie Davis, Mary Alice Green, Daisy Johnson, Thomas Davis, James Davis, Robert Davis and Willie Davis.
