ELGIN – A graveside service for Penella Harvey Demetres, 78, will be held Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Dan Griffin will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Harmony Baptist Church Choir or Cemetery Fund, or South Carolina Oncology. Mrs. Demetres, wife of the late Harry Demetres, passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2017. Born in Sanford, FL, she was a daughter of the late James Pinkney Harvey and Lillian Ladell Jones. Mrs. Demetres was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. She enjoyed crafts, Bible studies, walking, and reading. Surviving are her children, Lloyd Donald Tilton of Charleston, James Mark Tilton (Kimberly) of Lawrenceville GA, Larry Lamar Tilton (Melissa) of Chapin; brother, James Hampton Harvey; and 3 grandchildren.
