Obituary of Talmadge Frank Goff

ELGIN - A graveside service for Talmadge “Tag” Frank Goff, 83, will be held Saturday at 11:00 am at Blaney Baptist Church. Rev. Philip Blankenship will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Memorials may be made to Blaney Baptist Church. Mr. Goff, husband of the late Novis Irene Peake, died Thursday, October 2, 2008. Born in Blaney, S.C., he was a son of the late William Henry Goff and Eunice Hornsby Goff. A WW II veteran, he served in the United States Army. He retired from DuPont Mr. Goff was a member of Blaney Baptist Church. He was a member of the Half Day Hunting Club and was an avid fisherman and baseball fan. He enjoyed gardening. He is survived by his sons, Dale (Teresa) Goff of Elgin, and Danny T. Goff of Elgin; and sisters, Lillie Mae Hilgenberg of Bolingbrook, Ill. and Betty Goff (Horace) Meetze of West Columbia. He was predeceased by 13 brothers and sisters.
