Camden – Funeral service for Arthur Mitchell Catoe, Sr., 76, will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Antioch Baptist Church with burial to follow in Marshall United Methodist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Danny Hedgepath and the Rev. Jerry Gardner will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Memorials may be made to Antioch Baptist Church. Mr. Catoe, husband of the late Vindetta Baker Catoe, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Sunday, September 3, 2017. Born in Kershaw County, he was the son of the late Sidney S. Catoe and Rena Mae Dillon Catoe. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing and working on old cars and tractors. Surviving are his sons, James Catoe (Brenda) and Arthur Mitchell Catoe Jr. (Shirley); daughter, Barbara Holden; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Sidney Catoe, Pete Catoe and Wayne Catoe; and sister, Linda Kronman. He was predeceased by a grandson, J.R. Catoe; brother, Shine Catoe; and sisters, Lucille Moore, Isabel Bowers, Bobbie Jean Catoe, Lois Evan Roberts, Frances Rogers and Ruby Jackson.
