LYNCHBURG, VA - Funeral service for Bruce Lester Tomlin, 56, will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Rev. Bruce Hancock will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. A private burial will be held in Adrian, Mich. Memorials may be made to MUSC Foundation c/o Organ Transplant, 18 Bee Street, MSC 450, Charleston, S.C. 29425. Mr. Tomlin died Monday, September 29, 2008. Born in Bridgeton, N.J., he was a son of Janet Terry Tomlin and the late Lester Tomlin. He was a graduate of Camden High School and received his Bachelors of Science Degree from the University of South Carolina. He was employed with BWXT Technologies where he was a Chemical Engineer. He was an avid golfer and deep sea fisherman. He loved traveling the world and spending time with his wife. Surviving are his wife, Cindy Tomlin; mother of Camden; brother, Gary Keen Tomlin of Camden; father and mother-in-law, Don and Janice Garmon of Adrian, Mich.; and a niece, Chance Tomlin.
