BETHUNE – A celebration of life service for Brenda S. Bryson, 73, will be held on Thursday at 5 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 2901 Colonial Dr, Columbia, SC 29203 or the charity of one’s choice. Ms. Bryson passed away July 30, 2017. Born in McBee, SC, on August 24, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Monroe and Linnie Steen Sullivan. Ms. Bryson enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandson, Deacon. Surviving are her children, Dana B. Cobb of Lugoff, John “Buck” Eric Bryson of Bethune, and Robin Arrants; grandson, Deacon Allen Cobb; brother, Dick (Rachel) Sullivan of McBee. She was predeceased by her sister, Sylvia Sullivan.
