LUGOFF – A time of gathering to celebrate the life of John Donald Hatchell, 70, will be held Friday from 5-7 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Mr. Hatchell died Wednesday, July 12, 2017. Born in Charleston, he was the son of the late John L. and Nell Adams Hatchell. Mr. Hatchell joined the U.S. Marine Corps, and served 2 tours in Vietnam. He was a member of the American legion and enjoyed hunting, fishing and reading. Surviving are his children, Elaine Hatchell of Columbia, John Troy Hatchell of Ridgeway, and Dawn Roland (Jason) of Lexington; and 4 grandchildren.
