CAMDEN - Funeral service for Lavern “Bud” Branham, 81, will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. William Knotts and Rev. Charles Roark will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Mr. Branham died Wednesday, September 24, 2008. Born in Lee County, he was a son of the late John Murray and Sally Branham. He was a retired farmer and a member of Mt. Hebron Freewill Baptist Church. He enjoyed gardening. Surviving is his wife of 60 years, Ruth Virginia Cobb Branham; son, Larry “Skinner” Branham and his wife, Lucy of Camden; daughter, Diane Branham Pettis and her husband, Buck of Camden; grandchildren, Chris R. Branham and Jamie Petticord; and great-grandchildren, Sidney and Brayden Branham, Alex and Stephanie Petticord. He was predeceased by a brother, John Benjamin “J.B.” Branham; and sisters, Marion Watson, Burnice Bullock, and Mary Hinson.
