Born in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late William Sterling George and Virginia Lucille Horn George. Surviving are her children, Patricia White Neese, Julie White Fowler, Jason Dean White and Richard Brian White; siblings, Henry George, Steve George, Sandra Parton and Barbara Law; 9 grandchildren; and 2 great-granddaughters. She was predeceased by siblings, Gene George, Roger George, and Willard George.
