Obituary of Olin Bryant
LUGOFF – Funeral services for Thomas Olin Bryant, 80, will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Southside Baptist Church with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The Rev. Everett Recconu, Rev. Ed Stokes, and Rev. Donnie Barrett will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Southside Baptist Church.
Mr. Bryant passed away Friday, June 23, 2017. Born in Timmonsville, he was a son of the late Thomas Houck and Elizabeth Windham Bryant. Mr. Bryant was a member of Southside Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army and retired from DuPont. Mr. Bryant went on to own Bryant’s Used Cars. He enjoyed cars, racing, wrestling and baseball.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Mary Phillips Bryant; sons; Phillip Bryant and Thomas Bryant (Kelly); daughters, Regina Bryant Clem (Jim); Laura Anderson (Davey); sisters, Wanda Cozart (Allen), Eva Mae Gibson; grandchildren, Kimberly Bryant, Crystal Bryant Nickens, Donald Bryant, Jr., Zackary Bryant, Madison Bryant, Jennings Bryant, Melissa Bryant, Jaice Bryant, Brianna Mestas, Brandon Thompson, Byron Brisnon; 11 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. He was predeceased by sons, Donnie Bryant and Brad Bryant; and sisters, Carolyn Morris, Becky Davis, Ann Isgett, and Peggy Gibbons.
