LUGOFF – Funeral service for Ella Belle “Coon” Brooks Hill, 72, will be held on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Charles Davis will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Mrs. Hill passed away at home on Sunday, June 18, 2017. Born in Kershaw County, she was the daughter of the late Ben and Matilda Salmond Brooks. She was a dedicated wife and wonderful mother. She enjoyed cooking and fishing. Surviving are her children, Ralph Hill, Angela Hill, Dennis Hill, and Lisa Hill; sister, Virginia Brooks; 5 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by brother, Willie Salmond; and sisters, Lillie Mae Jefferson, Margaret Salmond and Ernestine Brooks.
