REMBERT- Funeral services for Paulo Andrade, 86, will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. Chaplin Heyward Myers will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Tri-County. Mr. Andrade, husband of the late Ruth Andrade, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2017. Born in New Bedford, MA, he was a son of the late Antonio and Maria Andrade. Mr. Andrade was a member of the Quittacus Masonic Lodge for 61 years. He was a founder of a class at the Portuguese Immigration Center that taught English as a 2nd language. Mr. Andrade enjoyed working on cars and collecting antique model cars. Surviving are his daughters, Geraldine DeSousa (Louis) of Cassatt and Christine Andrade of Rembert; and a granddaughter, Chloe DeSousa of MA. He was predeceased by his wife and 4 brothers.
