LUGOFF – Funeral service for Ethel Biddix Simmons, 87, will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Rowan Presbyterian Church with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The Rev. Phillip McCoy will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Rowan Presbyterian Church, 818 Ridgeway Road, Lugoff, S.C. 29078. Mrs. Simmons, wife o f the late Byron Ray Simmons, died Tuesday, March 05, 2013. Born in Sevier County, N.C., she was a daughter of the late Charles I. and Edna Head Biddix. She was former owner of Colonial Electric Supply. She was a member of Rowan Presbyterian Church and the Golden Girls. Surviving are her daughter, Traci Brooke Simmons of Columbia; brother, Ralph Earl Biddix of Kernersville, N.C.; sister, Sherrill Branham of Lugoff, S.C.
