CAMDEN - A memorial service for Mary George Whitson, 90, formerly of Knoxville, Tenn., will be held Sunday, September 14, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. at Beaver Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Knoxville, Tennessee. The Rev. Thomas Sweet will officiate. Burial will follow the service in Woodlawn Cemetery, Knoxville. The family will receive friends Sunday, September 14, 2008 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Beaver Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 7225 Old Clinton Pike, Knoxville, Tenn. 37921. Mrs. Whitson, wife of the late William Robert Whitson, died September 5, 2008. Born in Knoxville, Tenn. she was a daughter of Michael Aaron Wade and Mary Elizabeth Conner Wade. She enjoyed gardening and sewing. She is survived by her daughter, Camille (Randy) Abrams of Camden; brother, James Wade, Oak Ridge, Tenn.; sister, Martha Ann McCurdy, Oak Ridge, Tenn.; grandchildren, Whit (Kathleen) Abrams, Lexington, S.C., Meg Abrams and her fiancé, Dane Henderson, of Columbia, S.C. She was predeceased by her brothers, Roscoe Wade, Mike Wade, and John Wade; and sisters, Deolah Hendrix, Juanita Miller, Genevieve Shumaker.
