LUGOFF- Funeral services for John Benjamin “Tammie” Hollis, Sr., 56, will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Unity United Methodist Church Community Center Cemetery. Mr. Hollis, husband of the late Carol Ann Smith Hollis, passed away Friday, May 12, 2017. Born in Lugoff, he was a son of the late Jesse and Maybell Hollis, Sr. Mr. Hollis was a member of Unity United Methodist Church. He enjoyed playing baseball, dancing, and singing. Surviving are his children, John Hollis, Jr., Jason Hollis, Janara Hollis, Joy Hollis, Joshua Hollis and Jala Hollis all of Lugoff; sisters, Susie Spriggs of Lugoff, Ida Jones of Lugoff, Jacqueline Williams of Camden, Joyce Johnson of Canton, OH; brothers, James Hollis of Camden, David Hollis of Lugoff, Jesse Hollis, Jr. of Lugoff; and 5 grandchildren.
