LUGOFF- Jerry Cecil Davis, 79, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017. Born in Ada, OK, he was a son of the late Cecil A. Davis, Jr. and Nell Brown Davis. Mr. Davis was a member of Rowan Presbyterian Church. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and later retired from DuPont. He was a jazz pianist. He is survived by his wife, Mildred Ware Davis; son, Jerry C. Davis, Jr., (Miriam) of Polk City, FL; daughter, Jennifer Davis (Eric Helmig) of Philadelphia, PA; brothers, Lanny Davis (Peggy) of Columbia, Jimmy Davis (June) of Manning; and grandchildren, Miles and Gabriela Davis. Services will be held at a later date in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
