COLUMBIA – Funeral service for Dorothy Beatrice Kimble, 73, will be held on Friday, April 7, at 4:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff with burial to follow in Memorial Gardens of Columbia. The family will receive friends Friday 2:30-4:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Kimble passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2017. Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late Talmadge Dinkins and Estelle Medlin Walker. She enjoyed crafts. Surviving are her sons, Jeffrey Lathan (Cynthia) of Elgin and Edward Lathan (Karen) of Columbia; sister, Judy Hinson; brothers, Pete Dinkins and Ronnie Dinkins; 2 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Donald Eugene Dinkins.
