LUGOFF - Funeral service for Ana Salmeron Ruiz, 49, will be held Thursday at 12:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. The Rosary will be held Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. and a prayer vigil at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Memorials may be made Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 1709 Lyttleton Street, Camden, S.C. Mrs. Ruiz died August 31, 2008. Born in San Jacinto Chilateca, Ocotlan De Morelos Ocotlan, Oaxaca, Mexico, she was a daughter of Florencio Salmeron Concha and Francisca Ruiz Mendoza. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. In Mexico, she was a Rosary Leader and Catechist. Mrs. Ruiz was also a Lay Minister and Catholic youth counselor in Oaxaca and the state of Mexico. She enjoyed cooking, was a talented singer, a devoted church member, and a loving grandmother. She was a best friend to many both in the U.S. and Mexico and was extremely humorous and a source of guidance and wisdom. Surviving are her husband, Macedonio Resendiz Zuniga; son, Mauricio Resendiz Salmeron; her father; a brother and four loving sisters.
