CAMDEN – A graveside service for Elizabeth Girvan West, 89, will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The Rev. Bobby J. James, Jr. will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1-2 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Mrs. West, wife of the late James William West, passed away Monday, February 27, 2017. Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, she was a daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Bell Girvan. Mrs. West was a member of Wateree Baptist Church. She enjoyed knitting and gardening. Surviving are her daughter, Anthea Hinson (James) of Camden; grandchildren, Sonyia Arant of Camden, Edward Hinson (Jennifer) of West Jefferson, N.C.; great-grandchildren, Breann and Alayna Arant, and Josh, William, and Jack Hinson. She was predeceased by her husband; 2 brothers; and a sister.
