RIDGEWAY – Funeral service for Dorothy Henrietta Cupstid Rabon, 89, will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Springvale Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Todd Horton will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Springvale Baptist Church Building Fund, 1496 Springvale Road, Lugoff, S.C. 29078. Mrs. Rabon, wife of the late John Robert “Tommy” Rabon, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2017. Born in Pelion, she was the daughter of the late Dallas Cobin and Ellie Rabon Cupstid. She was a member of Springvale Baptist Church and the Winsome Sunday School Class. She enjoyed shopping, traveling, fishing and being outdoors. Surviving are her sons, Thomas “Bobo” Rabon of Ridgeway and V.C. “Babo” Rabon (Robin) of Ridgeway; daughter, Delores Branham (Carl) of Ridgeway; 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Brianna Rabon; sisters, Susie Cupstid, Chrystabell Starley and Barnell Oneria Krell; and brothers, John Simon Cupstid, Vastine Cupstid and Manley Lever Cupstid.
