CAMDEN – Funeral services for Matthew Garrett Epps, 36, will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Quaker Cemetery. The Rev. Dale Buchanan will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Epps died Wednesday, February 01, 2017. Born in Camden, he was a son of James P. Epps, Sr. and Gale Tipton Deese. Mr. Epps enjoyed golfing, carpentry, and watching Gamecock Football. Surviving are his daughter, Anna Carlee Epps; step-son, Jacob Cunningham; father, James “Jim” Epps, Sr. of Camden; mother and step-father, Gale T. and Harold Deese of Camden; brother, James P. Epps, Jr. (Dana) of Lugoff; sister, Cristaleen Clyburn (William) of Camden; aunts, Kathy T. Tunks (Eddie), Vicky Hoilman (Tony), Reba T. Vance (Tom), Carol T. Autrey (Travis), Teresa Trice (Rob), Diane Anderson; uncles, Robert P. Epps, Jr., William P. Epps; and 6 nieces and nephews.
