ELGIN – Funeral services for Paul M. Jones, 89, will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Baptist Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Reverend Kenneth Jackson will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2pm – 4pm at the Powers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shriner’s Hospital, 2900 N. Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607 Mr. Jones passed away January 20, 2017. Born in Woodruff, SC, on October 16, 1927, he was the son of the late Riley Conway Jones and Mollie J. Reynolds Jones. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. Mr. Jones was a Shriner, and enjoyed photography, astronomy, and wood-working. He was dearly beloved by everyone he came in contact with and was a father to everyone. Surviving are his wife, Nadine Jones; daughter, Paula Jones Conyers (Ricky Altman); grandson, William Paul Scalf; special daughter, Donna (Tracy) Tolliver; special sons, Keith (Kathy) Hayes and Eddie Thompson; 3 special grandchildren and 6 special great-grandchildren; niece, Faye Mulligan. He was predeceased by his sister, Irene Ridlehuber.
